<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise fuel consumption performance related to a traveling control device for vehicle which can raise fuel consumption performance at traveling time. <P>SOLUTION: The traveling control device for vehicle which controls a traveling state of the vehicle equipped with an engine 10 as a power source, and a power transmission device which transmits power of the engine 10 to driving wheels WL and WR, obtains gradients of a travel way between the own vehicle and a predetermined distance ahead, performs inertia traveling decreased in fuel supply quantity or stopping the fuel supply to the engine 10 while being in a state where power transmission can be made between the engine 10 and the driving wheels WL and WR, when the own vehicle may continue acceleration also at a predetermined distance point ahead, and controls a power clutch part (at least one of a lock-up clutch 35 and an input clutches C1) of a power transmission device so that power transmission between the engine 10 and the driving wheels WL and WR may be disconnected, and performs the inertia travel, when the own vehicle may start to slow down before exceeding the predetermined distance ahead. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
