<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery management system capable of correctly grasping the degree of the degradation of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A battery management system 1 comprises an electric ship 2, and a management server 3. The electric ship 2 has a battery 4, and a battery charge/discharge information measuring portion 5 for measuring the battery charge/discharge information of the battery 4. The electric ship 2 has a moving distance recording portion 6 for recording a moving distance corresponding to the battery discharge information, and an electric ship present situation information transmitting portion 7 for transmitting the battery charge/discharge information and the moving distance to the management server 3 through Internet 12.
