REGISTER MARK DETECTION PROGRAM, REGISTER MARK DETECTING DEVICE, AND REGISTER MARK DETECTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a medium in a short time without causing a detection error of a second register mark following a first register mark, even when the medium is placed on a platen or a flat bed in a tilted manner.

SOLUTION: A position mark 22 is arranged at a predetermined distance from a center point of the first register mark 11. After a cutting object is printed on the medium 40 together with the first register mark 11 to a fourth register mark and the position mark 22, the medium 40 is set on the flat bed of a plotter. An optical sensor detects the position mark 22 while moving a predetermined distance in an X-axis direction from the center point of the first register mark 11 and scanning the medium in an arc shape around the center point of the first register mark 11. A register mark detecting section estimates a direction in which the second register mark is located, based on positional information of the center point of the first register mark 11 and that of the position mark 22. The register mark detecting section moves the optical sensor in a direction of the second register mark to detect the second register mark.
