<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to accurately and safely replace accessory equipment in a short time by using a work device in order to improve the replacement work for accessory equipment which is required to be done in a situation without water failure and is difficult especially for equipment installed long ago. <P>SOLUTION: A method to replace accessory equipment comprises: digging in the ground from a surface to a point below a pipe 1; bearing with a bearing member 38; installing a foundation plate 5 around a T-shaped pipe 3 provided above the pipe 1; fastening a metal fitting belt 37 and replacing bolts and nuts of accessory equipment 2; installing a work device having a casing 11 enclosing from the T-shaped pipe 3 to the accessory equipment on the foundation plate 5; injecting water in the casing 11; removing the accessory equipment 2 integrated with a short pipe 4 from above with a work valve being used; inserting a new accessory equipment integrated with a new short pipe from above the casing 11; bolting the flanges of the new short pipe and the T-shaped pipe 3; and subsequently draining the casing 11 and removing the work device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
