<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect stain, e.g., caused by the sticking of the oxide of molten metal at the inside of a duct and the oxidation of the inside face of the duct itself, thus to easily know the cleaning time of the duct. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes inductors 14, 24 for giving thrust to molten metal 12 in a duct 1 and supplying the same. The device further includes a level sensor 19 for detecting the molten metal 12 pumped up in the duct 1 by the inductors 14, 24. The level sensor 19 detects the fact that the inductor 14 has pushed up the molten metal 12 in the duct 1 to a predetermined height h2, further measures the time required for the pushing-up of the molten metal 12, and compares the measured value with a predetermined standard value to detect the stain in the duct 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
