PURPOSE: A pretensioner is provided to prevent overshoot loads in operation loads of webbings during an operation of a load limiter. CONSTITUTION: A pretensioner comprises a cylinder(100), a micro gas generator(200),f a rack(300), and a roller(400). A part of a pinion(20) is inserted into one side of the cylinder. Gunpowder in the micro gas generator is exploded when impacts act from outside. The micro gas generator transfers an explosion-power to inside the cylinder. One end of the rack is placed toward the micro gas generator and the other end is arranged oppositely to the pinion. Gear tooth of one side of the rack is not interlocked with the pinion before the rack receives the explosion power from the micro gas generator. The roller is provided with the explosion power from the micro gas generator. The roller moves the rack to the pinion in order that the gear tooth of the rack is interlocked with the pinion when the rack moves downward to the lower end of the cylinder.
