<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run flat core assembly which can prevent the breakage of a tire tread part with respect to an excessive impact load. <P>SOLUTION: The run flat core assembly is annulary mounted to a rim of a wheel by circumferentially arranging a plurality of cores 10 of circular arc form and connecting them with each other. Each of the cores 10 includes a core body 11 with high rigidity opposed to the tire tread part, and a deformation scheduled part 12 made of metal which is arranged at the inner peripheral side of the core body 11 and has lower rigid than the core body 11. When the excessive impact load is applied, the impact load is absorbed by plastically deforming the deformation scheduled part 12 to prevent the breakage of the tire tread part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
