<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation stand for installation of equipment, which prevents inward intrusion of rainwater and the like and which is excellent in durability and corrosion resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A base 11 is made of a rectangular tube assuming a rectangular cross-sectional shape. The base 11 has an upper opening 21, and a bottom is provided inside the base 11. The base 11 has an annular outer flange 22 along an outer periphery of the upper opening 21. The base 11 can have the bottom fixed to an installation surface. The bottom of the base 11 is provided with a reinforcing rib 24. A cover body 12 is provided on the base 11 in such a manner as to cover the upper opening 21. A support member 13, which makes a gap for the attachment of the equipment between itself and an upper part of the cover body 12, is fixed to the outer flange 22 via both ends 13a across a position above the upper opening 21.
