<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion by concentrating a low concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion in a short period of time and good yield, and an electric concentration tank used in the method. <P>SOLUTION: The electric concentration tank 10 includes: a tank body 1 to which a low concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion is supplied; 3-10 electrodes 2 arranged substantially parallel in the horizontal direction at predetermined intervals in the tank body 1; and diaphragms 4 arranged between the electrodes. The electric concentration tank 2 is configured in such a manner that, in a state where the tank is filled with a low concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion, a voltage is applied between the adjacent electrodes so that a potential difference per unit length between the electrodes is 0.5-100 V/cm and a current density is 1-10 A/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. A low concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion is supplied to the electric concentration tank 10, and a voltage is applied between the adjacent electrodes 2 so that a potential difference per unit length between the electrodes is 0.5-100 V/cm and a current density is 1-10 A/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>, whereby a high concentration aqueous PTFE dispersion is produced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
