<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash analog-digital converter that avoids an increase in circuit area owing to flip-flops which must be arranged to hold an output of a comparator. <P>SOLUTION: In the analog-digital converter having at least a reference signal generation circuit 1, a comparator 2 and an encoder 3, the comparator 2 comprises a magnetoresistive element. The use of a hysteresis characteristic of the magnetoresistive element can provide the comparator 2 with a holding function to dispense with a holding circuit comprising flip-flops which is requisite to an existing flash analog-digital converter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
