<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for encoding/decoding of an enhancement layer for the purpose of reducing the quantization error of the G.711 codec. <P>SOLUTION: After calculating an exponent index of additional mantissa information of each sample of a frame on the basis of exponent information of the sample, a process of successively allocating one bit to a sample with an exponent index of a lower value from a sample with an exponent index of a higher value is repeatedly executed for a certain number of times, the number of bits allocated to each sample is understood, and then the highest bit corresponding to the number of bits allocated to each sample out of bits of additional mantissa information of each sample is output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
