<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer type inkjet recording method and device, which can minimize a difference in glossiness between a drawn part and a non-drawn part even in use of various recording media, and thus producing a printed matter having a high commercial value. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer type inkjet recording method has an intermediate image formation process and a transfer process. In the intermediate image formation process, an intermediate transfer body having a center line surface roughness closest to the center line surface roughness of a recording medium is selected from a plurality of intermediate transfer bodies different from each other in the center line surface roughness, and an intermediate image is formed on the surface of the selected intermediate transfer body.
