<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core network making a codec used on a calling side match with a codec used on an incoming call side as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The core network which is connected to a mobile communication network and establishes voice communication between communication apparatuses: receives a connection request including an identifier identifying the communication apparatus receiving an incoming call from the mobile communication network to which the calling mobile communication apparatus is connected; and determines at least one codec available in a network receiving the incoming call, to which the communication apparatus receiving the incoming call is connected. When at least one codec available in the network receiving the incoming call is available in the core network, the core network informs the calling mobile communication apparatus of the codec as a candidate of the codec which the calling mobile communication apparatus is to use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
