The invention relates to a plastic container (1) including a body (2) and a petaloid base (3) forming an extension of the body (2), the base (3) including a generally convex base wall (4), wherein feet (5) project therefrom, said feet being formed by outgrowths separated in pairs by portions of the base wall forming hollow valleys (13) which extend radially from a central area (6) of the base up to a periphery (7) of the base, wherein in said container each valley (13) gradually widens from the central area (6) towards the periphery (7) and has a concave portion (15) located adjacent to the periphery (7). |
