<p>The invention relates to an apparatus for surface plasmon resonance (SPR) scanning, the apparatus comprising: - a sensor assembly comprising a first optical hemispherical element and an SPR sensor element comprising a thin layer of conductive material, at least partially provided at the sensor surface of the first optical hemispherical element; - an illumination assembly comprising a light source and a second optical element; - a detector assembly comprising a sensing element for sensing the image of the illuminated sensor surface and a third optical element; wherein the detector assembly is configured to adapt the position of at least one of the sensing element and third element during scanning to focus the reflected light in a focal point located at both the first focal plane of the first element of the sensor assembly and the third focal plane of the third element of the detector assembly.</p> |
