<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chemical substance collector capable of collecting chemical substances including semi volatile organic compounds (SVOC) without particular preliminary work. <P>SOLUTION: A chemical substance collector 1 comprises a chamber 3, an air cleaning device 20, and a collecting pump 22. The chamber 3 with a cubic shape has an external plate 10 and an internal plate 11. A partition plate 13 is arranged along the inside of the internal plate 11. The inner sides of the partition plates 13 define a collection space 16. The outer surfaces of the partition plates 13 and the inner surfaces of the internal plates 11 define an air supply channel 17. The partition plate 13 is provided with a number of fine pores 15 which are evenly distributed on the whole region. Air which is purified and supplied to the air supply channel 17 by the air cleaning device 20 flows into the collection space 16 from the direction 6 through the number of fine pores 15 to build up at the center of the collection space 16, so as to be collected by the collecting pump 22 through a collecting tube 23.
