<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for processing a corner of a glass sheet, wherein grinding of four corners of each glass sheet can be precisely and efficiently performed, even if individual glass sheets vary in dimension, shape, etc. <P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus 10 for processing the corner of the glass sheet G, grinding of four corners of the rectangular glass sheet G fixed in a standard position is performed by moving rotating tools 4, which are installed at individual corners, in perpendicularly intersecting X-axis and Y-axis directions by a processing program. Here, two sides forming each of the four angles of the glass sheet G are detected by a detecting means 7 and, based on the detected data, the angle of each corner of the glass sheet G and the position deviation of the glass sheet G from the standard position are calculated.
