<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embroidery data creating device capable of creating embroidery data resulting in an embroidery having a favorable appearance while preventing needle location points from being concentrated when carrying out embroidery sewing so as to fill blocks composing an embroidery pattern. <P>SOLUTION: The embroidery data creating device comprises: means for acquiring outline data indicating an outline of a block, and yarn density data indicating density of stitches for filling the block (S1 and S2); means for specifying mutually opposing first and second line segments included in the outline of the block on the basis of the outline data and yarn density (S3); means for setting first needle location points and second needle location points on the first line segment and the second line segment, respectively, and determining their orders of sewing (S5); when a value of a ratio in length of the first line segment to the second line segment is greater than or equals to a threshold (S7:YES), for changing positions of a part of the second needle location points onto an imaginary line connecting between a first needle location point that is next in sewing order and a second needle location point after the next in sewing order (S10); and means for creating the embroidery data (S21). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
