<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device capable of confirming condition of an ion generating electrode and cleaning the ion generating electrode without removing an ion generating element, and particularly, when the ion generating device is installed next to a nozzle of an air blower provided on a wall or the like, making it easy to perform confirmation of the condition and the cleaning of the ion generating electrode, without in unnatural posture. <P>SOLUTION: In an ion generating device, an ion generator 2 for emitting ions is provided in a casing 3, which includes a flow inlet 4 allowing inflow of air from the outside and flow outlets 51,52 allowing outflow of air to the outside. The casing 3 has a casing portion 31 for accommodating the ion generator 2 and a cover part 32 which is pivotally supported by the casing portion 31 and rotatably mounted between a closed state covering the ion generator 2 and an opened state opening the same.
