<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size, lightweight and simple indication device capable of finding a position under an overhead wire easily in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: This simple indication device includes: a cylindrical body section including a collimation window, at one end, that has a reference line at the central region, and a level at the other end and incorporating an optical information composition part; and an eyepiece section extending in parallel to the reference line at a substantially intermediate part in the length direction and communicated with the body section. The optical information composition part is configured to compose optical position information between the collimation object in front of the collimation window and the reference line, and levelness information acquired by the level, and to output it though the eyepiece section. The optical information composition section may be combined with a plurality of half mirrors that receive the optical position information and the levelness information and substantially orthogonally reflect each thereof towards the eyepiece section.
