Disclosed is a rubber composition which improves the dispersibility of the silica in the rubber composition, improves exothermic properties and has good workability without increasing viscosity of the unvulcanized rubber or retarding the vulcanization rate; also disclosed is a tire using said composition. The rubber composition is constituted by blending at least one type of rubber component, selected from natural rubbers and/or diene-based synthetic rubbers, with a white filler and at least one type of mono alkanolamide represented by the formula (1). (In the formula (1), R1 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group of 1 to 13 carbon atoms, wherein said alkyl or alkenyl group may be linear, branched or cyclic, and R2 is a hydroxy alkyl group or a hydroxyalkyl group having an oxyalkylene unit.) |
