<p>A honeycomb filter (100) has a plurality of flow paths (110a, 110b) partitioned by dividing walls (112) and substantially parallel to each other. The ends of the flow paths (110a) on an end surface (100a) are sealed by a sealing part (114), and the other ends of the flow paths (110b) on the other end surface (100b) are sealed by sealing parts (114). The dividing walls (112) are constituted from a porous ceramic sintered body containing aluminum titanate, and a catalyst primer coating (116) is formed on the surfaces of the dividing walls (112) on the inside of the flow paths (110b). The porosity of the composite constituted of the dividing wall (112) and the catalyst primer coating (116) is 30 - 70 vol%, and a NOx storage catalyst is supported on the catalyst primer coating (116).</p> |
