<p>Provided is a cooling device for an elevator, not requiring complex maintenance work and providing a required cooling effect. A cooling device for an elevator, adapted for cooling equipment provided to the car of the elevator. The cooling device is provided with: an air intake section for introducing airflow, which is caused by relative wind generated during the vertical movement of the car, into the inside of the equipment; an air discharge section for discharging air inside the equipment to the outside thereof; and foreign matter separation means provided to the air intake section and separating foreign matter, which is contained in the airflow, utilizing either the centrifugal force and/or the gravitational force which acts on the foreign matter. The air intake section is configured so as to introduce the airflow, from which the foreign matter is separated by the foreign matter separation means and which has less foreign matter content than before being subjected to the foreign matter separation, into the inside of the equipment.</p> |
