EXTRUDED MATERIAL OF AL-MG ALLOY AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An aluminum-magnesium extruded material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent damage due to casting crack during extrusion by adding magnesium as aluminum-magnesium mother alloy. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an aluminum-magnesium extruded material comprises the steps of: preparing aluminum-magnesium mother alloy having a first magnesium composition, adding the aluminum-magnesium mother alloy into molten aluminum, casting the mixed molten aluminum to obtain aluminum-magnesium alloy having a second magnesium composition smaller than the first magnesium composition, and extruding the aluminum-magnesium alloy.
