PURPOSE: A content control device and a method thereof are provided to execute an application program linked to a selected icon when a touch screen of a display unit is locked. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(402) includes a touch screen. When the touch screen of the display unit is locked, a control unit(401) activates only a first display area and a second display area of the display unit. The control unit displays icons for executing application programs on the first area on the display unit. The control unit displays icons for unlocking on the second display area.
