<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal layer with a hysteresis characteristic, that can express at constant luminance without being affected by the previous gradation when the same voltage is applied, and to provide a driving method for the liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: A driving method for a liquid crystal display device including a liquid crystal layer whose transmittance characteristic curve to plural liquid crystal application voltages has a hysteresis characteristic, comprises: a step of applying a reset voltage to the liquid crystal layer before plural gradation voltages corresponding to gradation data for one frame are applied; a step of generating plural gradation voltages corresponding to one voltage curve selected by the applied reset voltage among the plural voltage curves of the hysteresis characteristic; and a step of applying the plural gradation voltages to a corresponding region in the liquid crystal layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
