<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for delivering a self-expanding stent to a stent site in the body, which is strong and simple for a doctor to arrange the stent while minimizing external injury given to the tissue of a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The stent delivery device 50 includes a tube 54. Also, the device, wherein both an intracavitary surface 70 and an extra-cavitary surface 72 of the area of the tip end part are tapered inwardly in a radial direction as they approach a distal end 74 of the tube when the temperature of the area of a distal tip end part is at least 37 degrees Celsius without receiving circumferential stress from the external world, has: a unit for loading the self-expanding stent 52 into the base end part of the tube 54; and a unit 56 for advancing the self-expanding stent 52 which is restrained by a tube wall so that it does not expand outside in a radial direction over the entire length from the base end part of the tube to the distal end part of the tube. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
