<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system that can effectively charge/discharge electricity depending on loaded condition of an electric power system. <P>SOLUTION: A power storage system 1 comprises a power storage apparatus 3 connected to an electric train line 93. The power storage system 1 measures an overhead wire voltage Vs of the electric train line 93, controls charging/discharging the power storage apparatus 3 based on the overhead wire voltage Vs according to a control mode 1 generating charge/discharge characteristics based on diagram information and others or a control mode 2 generating charge/discharge characteristics that always provides constant charge/discharge effect, determines the effect of the charge/discharge of the power storage apparatus 3, and changes a control mode MD if it is determined that the charge/discharge of the power storage apparatus 3 is not effective. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
