<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping device for an underwater structure, which is simply configured to enable reliable vibration damping of the underwater structure. <P>SOLUTION: The damping device 10 is mounted on the underwater structure B to be installed under water for absorbing vibration energy operating on the underwater structure B, and is configured such that an annularly-formed pipe member 11 is erected in a vertical direction T1, an air vent hole 12 is provided in an intermediate portion between the upper end and the lower end for connecting the internal of the pipe member 11 with the external thereof, and a water absorbing hole 13 is provided to the lower end side than the air vent hole 12 for connecting the internal of the pipe member 11 with the external thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
