The module has an outer surface (1) made of plastic or glass, and a rear side (3) forming a moisture barrier. The rear side is fixed on a module carrier (10). A double-sided adhesive element (13) e.g. adhesive pad or adhesive tape, is arranged between the rear side and the module carrier such that one side of the adhesive element is made contact by the rear side, and another side of the adhesive element is made contact by the module carrier, where the adhesive element is removed from an edge of a photovoltaic module. An independent claim is also included for a photovoltaic field assembly method.
