<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric drill which has a function of preventing an unexpected oblique hole from being drilled and which stops drilling by automatically sensing displacement in a drilling direction during the drilling by means of the electric drill. <P>SOLUTION: The electric drill 1 drills a hole in a direction orthogonal to a workpiece 7, and is equipped with a tilt sensor 10 mounted on a tilt sensor mounting surface 8 regulated parallel to the ground surface. When the rotation axis C of the drill positioned orthogonally to the surface of the workpiece is tilted to an angle equal to or larger than a predetermined value, the tilt sensor 10 senses the tilt and shuts off the driving current of the electric drill. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
