<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device and an inkjet recording apparatus, which can stably coat process liquid in a good condition. <P>SOLUTION: In the coating device configured to draw up process liquid reserved in a process liquid vessel 306 by a drawing-up roller 304 to supply the process liquid to a coating roller 302, the inside of the process liquid vessel 306 is divided into a reservoir 306A and a recovery chamber 306B by a partition plate 308, and the process liquid is circulated and supplied to always overflow to the recovery chamber 306B side. Thereby, the liquid level thereof can be always maintained constant, and the process liquid can be stably coated.
