END PORTION DETECTING DEVICE OF MEMBER MOUNTED ON FPD MODULE, END PORTION DETECTION METHOD, AND ACF STICKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely detect an end portion of a member mounted on an FPD module.

SOLUTION: An end portion detecting device 10 comprises a head portion 13 performing finishing processing for diffusely reflecting incident light, on a placing surface on which a member mounted on an FPD module is placed; and an imaging portion 14 for imaging an end portion of the member placed on the head portion 13 and outputting an image. The end portion detecting device 10 also comprises a light source 11 disposed at a position tilted toward an area on the outer side of a lens 14a in regard to an optical axis of the lens 14a of the imaging portion 14, and irradiating the member and the placing surface with light; and an end portion detecting portion 15 obtaining a contrast ratio of the member included in the image and the placing surface of the head portion 13, and detecting the area in which the contrast ratio exceeds a threshold value as the end portion of the member. The end portion detecting portion 15 carries out instruction for adjusting a position so as to correctly cut an ACF by matching an end surface of the ACF with an end surface of the member when sticking the ACF to the member.
