The spring-damper-unit has a cylindrical casing (11) and an end of a hollow piston rod (15) hingedly connected with vehicle components via fastening bearings (27, 28), respectively. A concentric support ring (29) i.e. support cap, is arranged below a lower housing cover (13) over a flange (22) of the cover, which is infused with the piston rod. The ring includes an inclined downwardly expanding working surface (31), where a wall of elastomer rolling bellows (18) lies at the working surface under pressure application. The wall emerges from an upper outer clamping point (21) of the bellows. The support ring is made of plastic.
