<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assisting robot that is an assisting robot for assisting user's behavior by closely contacting with the user, and that doesn't cause unexpected operation of an actuator even if an electric system is short-circuit due to moisture of incontinence. <P>SOLUTION: The assisting robot 100 includes a leg tool 10 mounted on the user. The leg tool 10 includes a thigh link 20 and a crus link 30 mounted on a thigh and a lower thigh of the user, respectively. The leg tool 10 also includes a motor 26 assisting the behavior of the leg. The thigh link 20 of the leg tool 10 includes a gas sensor 41 for measuring an ammonia concentration.
