MEDICAL IMAGE SEARCH SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for automatically searching and extracting an image to be a reference for a radiologist at diagnosis.

SOLUTION: The medical image search system relating to one embodiment includes: an image database holding the medical image; a radiographic image interpretation unit for calling the medical image from the image database; an image requesting unit for requesting the reference image relevant to the medical image; a searching unit for searching at least one reference image relating to the medical image from the medical image held at the image database following the request from the image requesting unit; a work-history recording unit for recording the history of the work of the image requesting unit; a work-history analyzing unit for analyzing the history recorded in the work-history recording unit and generating the work procedure; a work-procedure recording unit for registering the work procedure; a work-procedure searching unit for searching the work procedure suitable for the medical image; and a presentation unit for presenting at least part of information relating to the searched work procedure according to the flow of the diagnosis.
