PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively save electric power by identifying individuals and groups and performing power supply control over equipment according to whether presence or absence of a person is detected.

SOLUTION: An equipment power supply control device which performs power supply control over equipment to be controlled through a communication network includes position information storage means of storing position information on a user; user information storage means of storing a group that the user belongs to; policy information storage means of storing policy information; position information acquisition management means of updating position information as required; and policy control means of performing specified power supply control over specified equipment to be controlled when detecting a specified user or any user belonging to a specified group being present in a specified area according to the policy information, and performing specified power supply control over the specified equipment to be controlled when detecting the specified user or all users belonging to the specified group leaves the specified area by referring to the respective storage means.
