<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device having high safety capable of suppressing the generation of adverse effects caused by heat generation accompanying an internal short-circuit even when the internal short-circuit is generated by being pierced by sharp metal. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage device is formed by housing a power storage device element formed by superposing a positive electrode and a negative electrode via a separator and an electrolytic solution in an outer package body.
