<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lockup device for a torque converter, which is configured so that vibration caused by coiled springs can be reliably suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: In the lockup device 7, at least two first elastic members 32 act in series in the circumferential direction by a float member 42, and the free length of any one of the first elastic members 32 is formed shorter than the free length of the other first elastic member 32, so that the rigidity K1 of the first elastic member 32a having the shorter free length is set larger than the rigidity K2 of the other first elastic member 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
