The arrangement (1) has a cylinder head (4) i.e. valve bars, provided with cooling water casing, and a high-temperature circuit (5) and a low-temperature circuit (6) coupled together such that a coolant (KM) circulates in the circuits. The low-temperature circuit opens at an outlet (24) of the cylinder head, or into the high-temperature circuit in a flow direction. A lower cooling water casing portion of the cylinder head is coupled with the low-temperature circuit, and an upper cooling water casing portion of the cylinder head is coupled with the high-temperature circuit.
