PURPOSE: A light emitting device and a light emitting device package are provided to prevent light loss by forming a lateral reflection layer on one more surfaces among outer lateral surfaces of an electrode layer and a support substrate. CONSTITUTION: An electrode layer(114) is arranged on a support substrate. A light emitting structure is arranged on the electrode layer. The light emitting structure comprises first and second semiconductor layers(151,153) and an active layer(152). The active layer is formed between the first and second semiconductor layers. A lateral reflection layer(180) is formed on one or more surfaces among outer surfaces of the electrode layer and the support substrate. |
