摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thermal runaway of a secondary battery including the one due to a manufacturing failure, and to prevent deterioration in reliability and operability of system as well. <P>SOLUTION: An uninterruptible power supply device comprises: a secondary battery for becoming a power supply to connected apparatuses in the case of a blackout of the input power supply; measuring means to measure the temperature of the secondary battery; and charging stop means for calculating a temperature variation rate which is a change of the measured temperature per unit time. Also, the charging stop means determines whether or not the temperature variation rate is above the thermal runaway determination value, which is the value to determine whether or not a thermal runaway is generated, and if the temperature variation rate is above the thermal runaway determination value, the means stops supplying charging current to the secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
