<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for forming coextruded polymeric multilayer optical films. <P>SOLUTION: A supply block forms the multilayer optical films. The supply block includes (a) a gradient plate 30 including at least a first flow path 32 and a second flow path 34, and having a cross sectional area of at least one of the flow paths transforms from a first part into a second part along the flow path, and (b) a second supply pipe plate 40 that has a first plurality of conducting pipes 42 in communication with the first flow path 32 and a second plurality of conducting pipes 44 in communication with the second flow path 34, and where respective conducting pipes supply to individual slot dies 56 of their own, and have first and second end portions of the conducting pipes, being communicated with the flow path and the slot die, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
