<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a fiscal printer for detecting the presence/absence of the alteration of fiscal information written in a fiscal memory without reducing a write-in speed. <P>SOLUTION: A fiscal memory module 41 in which fiscal information is written includes: a first memory 411; a CPU 42 for fiscal control; and a second memory 413. When the fiscal information is written in the first memory 411 by the CPU 42 for fiscal control, the CPU 42 for fiscal control writes a first hash value corresponding to the fiscal information in the second memory 413. When the fiscal information is read from the first memory 411, the CPU 42 for fiscal control reads the first hash value from the second memory 413 via the CPU 42 for fiscal control, and compares the first hash value with a second hash value calculated from the fiscal information read from the first memory 411.
