The purpose is also to obtain a power storage device. In a power storage device (1), a power storage device main body (2) impregnated with an electrolyte is tightly sealed in a container (3). A pressure regulating device (4) for the power storage device, which regulates the internal pressure of the container (3), comprises: a case (12) with a regulation chamber (17) provided on the inside thereof and linked via an opening part (11) to the space within the container (3); a gas permeable membrane (13) that covers the opening part (11) and is permeable by gases within the container (3); a check valve (14) that prevents gas from being eliminated from the regulation chamber (17) to the outside of the container (3) when the pressure inside the regulation chamber (17) is a prescribed value or lower and eliminates gas from the regulation chamber (17) to the outside of the container (3) through a vent opening (10) in the container (3) when the pressure inside the regulation chamber (17) exceeds the prescribed value; and a connecting pipe (electrolyte return part) (15) that links the space inside the regulation chamber (17) and the space inside the container (3), extending from the case (12) and reaching the power storage device main body (2).
