The present invention relates to a plate-shaped body stack plate-shaped body counting device which counts the number of plate-shaped bodies of a plate-shaped body stack wherein a plurality of plate-shaped bodies are stacked. The plate-shaped body stack plate-shaped body counting device comprises: a light-receiving means for receiving reflected light of a stack face of a plate-shaped body stack; an image processing means for binarize processing image information of the stack face which is outputted from the light-receiving means and acquiring candidate points corresponding to the plate-shaped bodies; and a computation means for computing the number of plate-shaped bodies by counting confirmed points which are computed on the basis of the candidate points which are acquired by the image processing means. The computation means computes a reference pitch on the basis of the thickness of the plate-shaped bodies, computes candidate points which are equivalent to the reference pitch as confirmed points, and counts all of the computed confirmed points.
