A BOTTLE CLOSURE DEVICE

A bottle closure device comprises a main cap (10) for removably fitting to the open neck of a bottle. The main cap has an integral downwardly extending tube (18) and an upward extension (18a) of the tube (18). A subsidiary cap (12) is removably fitted to the upward extension (18a) and has a dosage compartment (34) in the form of an integral tube (26) extending downwardly through the tube (18) of the main cap. The dosage compartment has an open lower end (28) closed by a removable cover (30). The lower end (22) of the tube (18) automatically pushes the cover (30) off the lower end (28) of the dosage compartment (34) when the subsidiary cap (12) is removed and the tube (26) withdrawn upwardly through the tube (18). A flexible strap (40) connecting the cover (30) to the tube (18) prevents the cover (30) from falling freely into the bottle when the subsidiary cap (12) is removed.
