METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MBMS TRANSMISSION USING TVWS

Disclosed are a method and a device for multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) transmission using a television white space spectrum (TVWS). The method comprises: calculating the path loss gain of an MBMS transmission by various base station combinations among base stations having same idle TVWS over the idle TVWS relative to same transmission over an authorized spectrum, calculating the path loss gain which can meet the requirement of the MBMS transmission, and selecting the corresponding base station combination to transmit the MBMS over the idle TVWS. In the present invention, the inability to launch a single cast service due to resources occupied by the MBMS not being released is solved.
