PURPOSE: A composition for preventing and treating hair losing diseases contains an Acanthopanax koreanum nakai extract or a compound acankoreoside J separated from the extract for improving the growth multiplication effect of dermal papilla cells. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating hair losing diseases contains acankoreoside J or its medically allowable salt marked with chemical formula I. The acankoreoside J is separated from an Anthopanax koreanum nakai extract obtained from the stem, the root, or the leaf of the Acanthopanax koreanum nakai. The extract is mixed with water including purified water, ethanol, C1~C4 low grade alcohol, or their mixed solution.
