<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal member connecting metal fitting with a simple structure, which allows beams to be directly connected to each other and has a sufficient connection strength for bearing a load from above the beams. <P>SOLUTION: A base plate 3 has a side which is inserted in a vertical groove 2A of a joint 2 at an end of one horizontal member 1, and another side in opposite direction which is inserted in a vertical groove 2A of a joint 2 at an end of another horizontal member 1. The base plate 3 is provided with a plurality of engaging through-holes 5 through which engaging members 4 are hammered from the side of the horizontal member 1. An upper presser plate 6 is disposed on the top of one side of the base plate 3 to make surface contact with the top surface of the horizontal member 1, and a lower presser plate 7 is disposed at bottom of the other side of the base plate 3 to make surface contact with the undersurface of the horizontal member 1. Both of the upper presser plate 6 and the lower presser plate 7 are provided with fastening through-holes 9 through which fasteners 8 penetrate for fastening to the top surface and the undersurface of the horizontal member 1, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
